13 Years of Precision Cooling
3C Refrigeration was founded over 13 years ago with a clear mission: deliver specialized refrigeration solutions for the institutions that can't afford equipment failure. What started as a partnership between the Clapp and Cook families has grown into a trusted name across North Carolina's research and pharmaceutical communities.
Four years ago, Alex Clapp stepped in as owner, continuing the company's commitment to hands-on, expert-level service. Since then, 3C has deepened its focus on the environments where precision matters most — university research labs, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and biotech facilities.
The name “3C” originally stood for Clapp, Clapp, and Cook — the founding team. Over the years, it's evolved into something bigger: a promise of Climates Controlled Consistently.
Today, 3C operates as a small, dedicated team. Every technician brings specialized knowledge in institutional refrigeration, and every client works directly with the people doing the work. No call centers, no runaround — just experienced professionals who understand what's at stake when your systems go down.
